Michelle Scrocco

Michelle Scrocco is a lifelong resident of East Hanover, and she is proud to be employed by its school district as a special education teacher for most of her 25 years in teaching. Making connections with her students and ensuring that they feel loved and confident is her goal every day while giving them the best education possible in her classroom. Michelle carries her love of learning and teaching to her own family, and her older son and Johnny shared that love of history while in elementary school together. While Michelle has known Johnny’s family since childhood, their friendship blossomed as the boys grew up together. Johnny will never be forgotten as the pink cord worn by his classmates at graduation hangs in her son’s room as a constant reminder to be strong and to be a fighter. Through JKMF, Michelle will proudly continue to educate and support other families along with Johnny’s family to honor his memory and help them in every capacity!
